Description
HTL International LLC (Sugar Land, TX) is hiring an Audit Partner to be responsible for the following:
- Lead and manage multiple audits, engagements for a diverse client base including privately held companies, and SEC registrants.
- Oversee audit quality and ensure compliance with applicable accounting, auditing, and regulatory standards (US GAAS, PCAOB, and the SEC).
- Conduct technical reviews of financial statements and audit documentation.
- Apply technical expertise on complex issues including revenue recognition, leasing standards, internal controls, and SEC filings.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in audit methodologies and client service delivery.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives for the audit practice and the overall firm.
- Contribute to firm governance, including budgeting, risk management, and internal policy development.
- Act as the trusted advisor for clients, providing strategic insights and proactive guidance.
- Oversee engagement economics including billing, realization, and collections to ensure profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and coach audit teams to develop technical skills and leadership capabilities.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Management or related and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in an Audit Partner-related occupation.
Position also requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license by a state in the United States, and 5 years of experience with:
- Leading audit engagements for both privately held and publicly traded companies.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards, and SEC reporting requirements.
- IFRS, clients and IPOs.
- Audit software such as CaseWare, CCH Engagement, or similar platforms.
- Data analytics tools, such as IDEA, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Developing business opportunities, managing client relationship, and leading a team of audit professionals.
- Dual-reporting environments (PRC books to US GAAP Adjustment).
- Strong technical knowledge of internal control and the COSO framework.
Domestic and international travel required up to 15%. Telecommuting is permitted.
